MIKE

Ok, some of you are bugging for info on my man friend so here you go. (and those of you who didn't know ... now you do!)

Michael L. Christensen and I were introduced through a friend a few months ago. At the time we were both seeing other people and weren't too interested but I guess Jake was inspired because he didn't give up. He finally got us out on a date, and the rest has been amazing!

Our first date was to dinner and a movie, we went to the new Indiana Jones movie. After the movie we went walking around a park and found a fire side... like a place for someone to stand next to a fire pit :)

Our second date was even more fun we went shooting... I am a terrible aim! Mike is not. And he has a lot of guns :)

Shortly after this we went hiking up Logan Canyon and watched the moon rise, ate sandwitches and even danced on the trail, under the stars. Very romantic!
I believe he is my other half!

Although only dating a short time we have become really close. We have spent every spare moment with each other because he leaves for 2 months July 10th. Mike is in the National Guard and is going to training in Fort Lewis Washington then he is off to Bulgaria for more training. It is crazy, but it will be good. We are excited to see how the relationship will grow. Here are some pics of some fun activities we have done!

McKell, WOW! I so wish I were around to give you a hard time about being smitten:)
We will be in Utah in 2 weeks. I'd love to meet up with you and Mike and double date or something. We could probably make something work July 14, 15, or 16. Let me know if that would work for you.
I'm glad you happy!

Jake couldn't have picked a better woman for Mike! You two are so cute together. I can see you being an awesome army wife ;)
If you can survive the two months of separation, you outta talk about sticking together for a long while.

Unfortunately those pcis on the tramp didn't turn out. I had the wrong lens on for them.
I will agree Mike is very cute with kids. You should have seen him with Rainey as an infant. He would snuggle that boy all day.
you will be welcome to come stay with us anytime Mike is gone. Hopefully our paths will cross in the future. Fell free to drop by this week. We leave on Monday.

You know I've been thinking about you too again (needed an excuse to smile) and realized that your dating is about as perfect as it could be. You've learned to be disciplined while together and how to maintain a relationship while apart. These are good skills for life. Especially if this thing progresses into a military family.

Chrissy and I laugh when we see ladies bear their testimonies about how hard it is to deal without their husbands. It's usually the guys that are gone on a three day business trip!!! You've already had to deal with a lot more and it sounds like you're doing it with style!

Keep it up
